Poems
what's the point of purpose?
purpose is a yearning
"l feel good about my place"
meaning means unlearning
there's no point in saving face
grateful for greatness
the key to being grateful is:
don't take great gifts for granted
by noticing what's going good
the goodness is expanded
start with self-love
self-love is the sole starting spot
to love the life you live
the love you feel won't be a lot
if you lack means to give
equanimity
stay calm, but be alert
let compassion be your guide
don't hold it, it won't hurt
they can't provoke what's not inside
compassionate reactions
be mindful how you treat yourself
no matter right or wrong
be watchful of your mental health
find tribes where you belong
die before your death
die today and live forever
what you thought was yours was never
death cannot be what you can know
what you thought was real are shadows
let life live you
suffering comes from opposing your path
imprisoned by ego, you dwell in the past
repeated reflecting, it's time to move on
what emotional baggage is your carry-on?
untitled
pause
check in
check out all the space within
listen
silence shouts
you can hear it grin
resonate throughout
we're all next of kin
you're the God you doubt
forgive your own sins
untitled #2
drive led by pride is a race to the sun
a grandiose journey
worth nothing once done
chase pointless power or purposely pick
to stay true to your values
through thin and through thick
untitled #3
meditation is the art of
getting out of your own way
sensing stillness is the start of
letting in a space for play
untitled #4
the wise realize
a fool's demise:
big lies disguised
behind blank eyes
blank views arise
on how's and why's
a fool complies
with wise real lies

Listen With Genuine Curiosity
You'll never learn from others when you're asking questions just to prove their perspectives wrong.
The goal is to gain insight, not to be right or incite a fight.
Perceptions Rule Your Reactions
Improving how you react to triggers starts with changing how you perceive them.
When you view a situation as valuable, you react to it in ways that amplify its benefits.
We Receive What We Project
Feelings echo in time and space.
Choose to radiate joy, and you'll notice and attract those who resonate.
Happiness is the reaction to self-love in action.
The Law of A̶t̶t̶r̶a̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ Attention
It's not that we "attract" what we focus on.
When we're mindful and centered on our goals, we're more likely to notice and act on chances to make them happen.
Your Version of Others is You
Ego in others reflects our own.
We are attracted to and repelled by in others what we want to become and escape from.
Let go of ego.
Reveal awareness.
Welcome What You Repeatedly Resist
Don't shy away from emotions.
The more you oppose pain, the worse you will suffer.
Accept your heartache, moment by moment, and watch it dissipate.
Taking Ownership Isn't Failure
The good you did in actions can be offset by one inaction.
Taking responsibility for what you didn't do shows humility, not inability.
Admitting your wrong is a win.
Don't Set Self Limits With Words
The self who's aware can't be described, only experienced.
You can't comprehend your core with concepts.
To get where you want to go, give up your ego.
Reveal What's Already There
Don't try to change who you are.
Recognize the existing aspects of yourself you ought to augment.
Allow the greatness already within you to come through.
Explanations Aren't Always Enlightening
Concepts can create confusion.
Give up the need to understand the reason behind everything.
The world you describe separates you from the world as it is.
Confrontation With Kindness
When someone is irate, you don't have to match their energy.
Consider their view with compassion to find common ground.
Attack the issue, not each other.
Karma is Reaction to Your Actions
What you give attracts what you receive.
What you receive becomes what you believe.
Disavow greed.
Concentrate on how you can contribute, not what you need.
Don't Obsess Over Outcomes
Keep your eye on the prize—the process.
Requiring a fixed result makes you rigid.
Aligning your perspective with reality affords you the flexibility to react to it.
Burdens Can Be Blessings
Hidden within any adversity is an opportunity—a prize to be seized.
You can either wither or bloom.
It's up to you: Will your next test lead to poverty or prosperity?
Focus on What You Can Control
Be veracious about what's within your power to change.
There's no time to consider what could be.
Concentrate.
What parts of the problem are up to you?
Disagree With Your Anxiety
Sinister explanations are equal parts alluring and absurd.
Fear disappears with perspective.
What you dread becomes dreadful.
What you laugh at, laughable.
Leave a Legacy Like a Leader
Being a leader isn't about power.
Leadership is focused outwards on contributing to the lives of others.
Are you leading a life today the way you want to be remembered?
Treat Others With Decency
Nothing is as telling of your character as how you treat those who have no power over you.
Anyone can be kind to their boss.
How do you treat your server?
Our most defining moments often arrive when we're not at our best.
If you're only virtuous when you're feeling well, you'll be remembered for what you said while unwell.
