Poems
forgive yourself
it's not your fault
you're not to blame
your self assault
feeds it's own flame
the hardest part
forgiving "me"
a candid heart
for all to see
breaks are the bomb
resting isn't lazy
take a break
you'll feel amazing
slow the rushing
act less crazy
now you're crushing
til the day we
pushing daisies
fears lead to heroes
fed up that we're stressed but
our worries lead to what
we need to make meaning
all paths intervening
wishing our feelings would
let us feel understood
if not for our fears though
we'd never be heroes
question why you strive
something not worth doing
is not worth doing well
be wary with your strivings
or they will give you hell
listen to your body
before it starts to scream
expression cures depression
all of life is but a dream

Joy is Being Found, Not Seeking
True happiness doesn't require suffering, but there's room for it.
Instead of a brief high stalked by a fear of its own end, it's a steady bliss emanating from within.
Forgive Others to Set Yourself Free
Forgiveness relieves you of resentment, revealing the peaceful mind you forgot about beneath.
Forgive others so you may have peace.
Forgive yourself so others may too.
Our Brains Are Biased
Much of wisdom is metacognition.
By stepping back from our thoughts, we see shortcuts our eager brains made that missed trees for the forest and made forests from trees.
Share Your Struggles
Going through hell doesn't make you a burden.
Voice your anguish.
Misery hates company.
Your friends will welcome you with open arms if you give them the chance.
Give Up Your Pride, Save Yourself
Sunk cost fallacy can be a matter of life and death.
There's no shame in pivoting away from something causing you pain.
Recognize when all you have to lose is your pride.
Change Requires Comprehension
We are doomed to repeat what we don't understand.
Making sense of ourselves begins with looking back.
Problems proliferate without reflection on our reactions.
We Emerge With the World
Our current circumstances create a constant state of change.
All we are is this fluctuating movement, shifting each moment.
When we become reactive, we lose this authentic self.
We Live on the Edge of Infinity
The ego clouds us from seeing the beautiful reality always in front of us.
Through curiousity and mindfulness, we can reunite with the infinite, centerless now we always were.
All Emotions Are Created Equal
Emotions aren't good or bad.
They are the mind's attempt to assign meaning to events.
When we listen to societal labels of our feelings, we lose the lesson.
Each Experience is a Wave
You can't control or push away a wave.
Yet the same wave that could hurt you at the shore would cause no trouble further in.
The only difference is your relationship to it.
Curiosity isn't Just for Kids
Looking at our mistakes without disdain is the bedrock of learning.
By staying curious about the world and our role in it, we avoid the trap of taking things personally.
Slowing is Self-Love, Hurrying is Fear
In a world that glorifies burnout, taking a break when you need it is an act of self-compassion.
Trust yourself enough not to rush.
Slow down to reveal your best self.
